HOW MUCH OF MY DONATION DIRECTLY SUPPORTS THE CAUSE?

We understand the importance of transparency when it comes to where your donation goes. In the case of our organization, funds received through Memberships and the sale of donated goods are carefully set aside and accrue until our annual meeting. At this meeting, a lump sum donation is made to the Dickinson Area Public Library.

Typically, FOTL donates these lump sums to support programming such as the S.T.E.A.M. program, which aims to promote science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics education. We also facilitate the purchase of goods that are used on a recurring basis for these programs.

If there are any additional funds beyond the annual donations, they are utilized to support Twice Sold Tales, our used bookstore. These funds are primarily used to supply the store with the necessary resources for its operations.

We aim to allocate your donation in the most effective and impactful way possible. Rest assured that our organization is committed to maximizing the support we provide to the cause through careful financial management.

HOW CAN I DONATE?

Donations can be made during our normal business hours, which are Monday through Friday 11:00am through 5:00pm. Our dedicated team will be available to accept your contributions and ensure they are put to good use.

We kindly request that the books you donate are in good condition, as we aim to offer high-quality reading materials to our community. Whether it's a thrilling novel, an informative non-fiction book, or a beloved classic, all genres are welcome.

WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE TO VOLUNTEER?

Volunteers of all ages are welcome to support events! However, for those interested in assisting at the bookstore, we kindly request that volunteers be 16 years of age or older.
